Nashville domestic violence survivor speaks out against judicial system she says failed her

A domestic violence survivor told FOX 17 News the judicial system failed her and she is now in fear for her safety.

FOX 17 News discovered the magistrate who bonded out her alleged abuser (who is also a convicted felon), couldn’t make an informed decision on his conditions because they did not have access to all of his criminal history.

Daun Bauman and her husband Stephen Sterling were only married for about a month when things took a turn. Bauman said last month, her husband beat her after getting home from a night out on Broadway because she wanted to leave the bar and he didn’t want to.
