Here is my latest offering as a songwriter. Living in nature and witnessing all Mother Earth has to offer us inspired this simple folk song, along with a fabulous children's book called "Harklights" by Tim Tilley.

This song is for all the children (& grown up souls) who attend forest and bushcraft schools, learning how to care for all the living creatures of our magnificent and beautiful world ❤️🍁🍄🌲🦡🦊🐝🐞🪲🐿️🐦‍⬛🌿🌱☀️
I imagine them singing the choruses and then standing to take the Forest Keeper's Decree at the end...with hand on heart ❤️

The Forest Keeper's Decree

My eyes see so many things
I wonder why I'm so aware
Do I simply observe or step in when I'm called?

Badger and foxglove, heron and bee
Woven like tapestry intricately
By magical mycelium

Leaving my worries behind me
My intentions are pure as I walk through a velvet green blanket
I know that I'm home

We all need someone to hold onto
