Adderall is more potent than Ritalin
They both treat deficits in ADHD
Both are controlled substances
The newer formulations help patients with
Vyvanse is a prodrug (produces D-amphetamine)
Dexedrine is D-amphetamine only
ADHD not to forget to miss dose due to longer half life

Note sometimes I use d-amphetamine and Adderall interchangeably due to the 3:1 ratio of D:L (Adderall being primarily D-amphetamine)
