'Bhajan Ro Gudak Rahyo Gaado' by Gavra Devi

Описание к видео 'Bhajan Ro Gudak Rahyo Gaado' by Gavra Devi

In February 2012 Gavra Devi held several thousands in the village of Diyatara spellbound with her rendition of this folk song, bringing many children and young people to their feet. In this bhajan, the poet Fakru mocks all of us - pointing out how the cart of our awareness, our consciousness, our meditation is wobbling, and urging us to bring it back on track.

Gavra Devi is a popular folk singer from Bikaner, evidently well-loved by her audiences who call her buaji. "Ever since I lost my eyesight as a little girl, I took to bhajan singing and established these poets and their words firmly in my heart", she says.
