Resident-First Revitalization: Collaborating with Communities for Maximum Impact

When local government leaders, philanthropic organizations, and community organizations decide what to do with vacant property, many residents are often left out of the conversation. But more effective resident engagement is possible, and community-led planning is a powerful tool for building capacity, ownership, and equity in communities.

This session will cover the transformative impact of inclusive decision-making processes that acknowledge community leaders as the primary agents of change within their neighborhoods.
