Scones are always a treat, but these rich fruit scones are the most versatile. They go so well with jam and fresh whipped cream or clotted cream, as well as just a little butter on each half of a cut scone. You can even treat them like toast and apply marmalade, honey or fresh tropical fruit. They take 10 minutes to prepare and 12 minutes to cook and taste amazing with either coffee or tea.

Ingredients for Rich Fruit Scones

225 grams high grade flour (11.0 - 11.5 percent protein)
1/4 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
55 grams butter
55 grams of fruit cake mix
2 tbsp sugar
Milk to mix
1 beaten egg for glaze.
