Darkstalkers 3 [PS1] - play as DARK FORCE Lord Rapter

Dark Force Lord Rapter is the Dark Force version of him, seen when regular Lord Rapter activates his Dark Force during a fight, where he is armed with a chainsaw. This version of him turns out to be a completely separate character in the game's data.

Therefore that makes him a playable character, but he cannot be selected as a "normal" character.

When using alternative methods to select him as a "normal character", you'll see that he doesn't actually have the chainsaw from the start, and he plays like regular Lord Rapter (which is very odd), but most of his hit properties are completely messed up! As you can see in the video, some of his basic moves can freeze or electrocute the opponent, and it hits them even when he is far away! Here are the rest of the info about him...

---- When playing as flawed Dark Force Lord Rapter, if you activate his Dark Force, he'll then become the proper Dark Force character with the chainsaw. From then on he REMAINS like this for the rest of the game, which means that you lose the flawed version of him. You don't want to give up those messed up hit priorities now do you?

---- In-fight, he flashes yellow/orange. This is obviously because he is usually a Dark Force character.

---- On the character select screen, he has a messed up portrait of Baby Bonnie Hood.

---- On the Vs. screen, he has a flawed portrait of Baby Bonnie Hood. This time, the flaw can vary.

---- His winning screen is the same as normal Lord Rapter, with the same music theme and dialogue.

---- His story dialogue interactions is exactly the same as normal Lord Rapter.

---- His ending is the exactly the same as normal Lord Rapter.

---- In Darkstalkers 1 and Darkstalkers Revenge, his name is originally spelled as "Lord Raptor". In Vampire Savior, his name is spelled as "Lord Rapter".

---- He is known as Zabel Zarock in the Japanese version of the game.

---- The game is known as Vampire Savior EX Edition in Japan.

===== About PS1 Darkstalkers 3 =====
Due to the PS1's hardware limitations, a LOT of character animation frames had to be cut... if you're used to the Arcade/Saturn versions of the game, you'll definitely notice it. The game features all the characters from the Darkstalkers series. So yes, Phobos, Pyron and Donovan are in.

However despite the animation cuts, the PS1 version of Darkstalkers 3 is actually quite special, as it is basically a 'collection' of Vampire Savior, Vampire Savior 2 and Vampire Hunter 2 all rolled into one single game. If you unlock the Ex Options, you can get to select the system mode of the above three games... so for example if you select Vampire Hunter 2, you'll get the VH2 BGMS, endings and system (such as Pyron replacing Jedah as the game's main boss). It's good stuff and it's a good port of the arcade game.
