Hi, this is Jessie with Sharp Edges in Oklahoma.

And today I wanted to make a video on how to reassemble and align your clipper blades.

Let's start by identifying the pieces.

This is the blade guide, the socket, the spring, the comb blade, and the cutter blade.

We'll start by taking the spring and putting the socket inside it like that, just sliding in there and slipping into there and it'll end up looking like that.

I'm going to take the blade guide.

You'll see there's a little groove there, put that in the edge of the spring.

Set that down.

We'll take our cutter blade and we'll set it on top of the rails of the comb blade there.

Then we'll take our spring assembly, and set the blade guy down in the groove on the cutter blade.

We'll pick that up.

We'll pinch it, flip it over and we'll align those holes there, take one of our screws, put that in there and we'll take our number two Phillips screwdriver, tighten that down, tighten it then back it up about a quarter turn so we have a little room to make adjustments which we'll do here.

We'll line this up, take another screw, put that in, tighten it up, and back it up a little bit so that we can move.

We want to be able to move this spring and, and play here to get what we call the setback, and right now as you can see it's too far forward.

So let's - we're gonna move it back a little bit and we're going for about 1 to 2 credit cards with a setback.

As you can see this little ramp area here, this is the number 10 blade and then you see that with the flat area starts there, that's the actual cutting surface and we want to be just behind that, just a little bit, so just a little bit more and there we go.

That's a good setback right there approximately the width of a credit card.

You can see that you just take that tighten it down and you're good to go.
