This video shows kente cloth being woven on a handmade loom by Ahiagble Bob Dennis, a master weaver from Ghana. Kente cloth is made up of complex geometric patterns with contrasting borders at each end. Narrow strips are woven on a loom and pieced together to make a larger piece of cloth. Most kente patterns are woven from memory.
Demonstrations take place 11th - 20th July 2012 at Birmingham Museum.
