Prokaryotic Transcription TERMINATION - Rho-dependent and Rho-independent termination

The molecular details of the Transcription Termination in prokaryotes. We discuss the intrinsic (Rho-independent) and extrinsic (Rho-dependent) termination mechanisms, and how the elongation complex slowly pauses, and the various conformational changes that occur to stop the enzyme activity. Finally, we discuss the hybrid-shearing and hyper-translocation models of elongation complex disassembly - which is the final step of termination.
