The 6 animal based superfoods I'm sharing with you today can help your body thrive.

I want to encourage you to add these animal based superfoods to your diet for better health, performance, and longevity.

The vitamins, minerals, and other special compounds in these superfoods help your mitochondria increase energy.

You're literally improving your body and your health from the inside.

Superfood #1 - Beef Liver

Beef Liver is the king of nutrient density.

It's packed with over 16 micronutrients, and provides well over the 'recommended daily value' for many of them.

I understand that liver isn't a flavor choice for many, but one way I've found to get liver into my diet is through 'ancestral blends', which mixes organ meat with ground beef.

Another option is to soak the liver in milk overnight (which takes away the bitterness), and then sauté it with onions (This is great with chicken liver too).

Superfood #2 - Whole Eggs

Eggs are one of the best foods for complete nutrition.

The egg whites contain whole protein, as well as a combo of essential amino acids.

The egg yolk is packed with vitamins and minerals that help brain function, liver health, and many other important bodily and health functions.

Quick Tip: Cook your eggs to keep the yolk runny. Cooking fully on high heat actually damages the healthy fats inside the yolk.

Superfood #3 - Sardines, Mackerel, & Wild Salmon

These cold water fatty fish are high in Omega 3's (EPA + DHA), which help cognitive function, heart, and cardiovascular health.

If you're worried about contaminated fish, these smaller fish are actually much 'cleaner' than large fish such as Tuna, Shark, or Swordfish.

Tinned sardines are one of the best snack foods, particularly when traveling.

Each tin contains around 25g of protein, as well as the vitamins, minerals, and Omega 3's we've already discussed.

Superfood #4 - Grass Fed Beef & Lamb

Another animal based superfood that is packed with healthy protein and an abundance of vitamins and minerals. Lamb is also a great source of creatine!

These meats are also incredibly versatile for your meals.

Whether you're using ground beef or lamb for taco's, home-made burgers, or a simple steak and veggie dinner, these GRASS-FED meats are perfect.

Superfood #5 - Bone Broth

This amazing superfood is a great source of liquid collagen and excellent for digestive health.

It's made by boiling down the bones and connective tissue of animals into a broth.

The health benefits come from the amino acid profile, which is different to the muscle meat.

Glycine is one of those amino acids, and it's beneficial for calm & focus, and in activating MTOR (which aids in protein synthesis and muscle growth).

Superfood #6 - Raw or Fermented Dairy

Raw dairy is another superfood that is high in the micronutrients that we've been discussing.

It's also a great provider of probiotics, which aid in gut health.

A lot of these compounds are destroyed in the pasteurization or homogenization processes that most of our dairy foods are put through.

Personally, I'm lactose intolerant, so I know the impact dairy can have on some of us.

I would recommend testing yourself with different dairy choices. If you're intolerant to cow dairy, try sheep dairy or goat dairy.
