LASER, IPL & LED: Understanding the Differences

Описание к видео LASER, IPL & LED: Understanding the Differences

This video explains the difference between LASER, IPL, and LED and we discuss the terms coherence, collimated and monochromatic light.

Broadband light and IPL until a filter is applied are polychromatic (multiple colours or wavelengths).

IPL's and LED's are not coherent and not collimated meaning that photons (energy) are not directional and less accurate and may not reach the target.

LASER's are monochromatic (use one specific wavelength), collimated and coherent and so laser photons are emitted with the same energy and travel in the same direction. It means the laser is more accurate, powerful with less scattering and can reach deeper tissues.
