The Chamundi temple timings are between 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Located at the top of Chamundi Hills, Chamundeshwari temple is about 1000 steps from the foot of the hill. Steps were built by Dodda Devaraja Wodeyar in 1659. The goddess is seated on a lion, killing the demon with her ‘trishul’.

Nandi measuring about 15 ft in height and 24 ft in width, carved out of a single boulder.

Chamundeshwari temple is about 13 km from Mysore City.
