New fire boats join our fleet

Fire boats 'Tanner' and 'Errington' are the latest in a long line of fire boats, working to keep Londoner's safe along the Thames. These boats have been specifically designed for operations on the Thames, and can carry out both firefighting and rescue duties. 

Based out of Lambeth River Station, they'll work alongside our colleagues from the Metropolitan Police and RNLI in keeping the river safe. Our boats will be responsible for an area of river that stretches from Hampton Court in the west, all the way out to the Dartford Crossing in the east.
