Quick change between glue types and glue colors with edge banding machine EDGETEQ S-380

The EVA and PUR hotmelt glues can be processed on HOMAG edge banding machines using the same universal application unit.

Now it is also easy to change the glue with the universal premelting unit. Two different interchangeable containers suitable for PUR cartridges or suitable for EVA granulate are used for this purpose.

00:14 The machine operator first applies transparent PUR glue.
Then he carries out the single-variety glue change by exchange of the application unit and the interchangeable container.

01:51 In the XES 200 preheating and service station, he stores the PUR interchangeable container and the application unit used for PUR in a vacuum until to the next use.

02:38 He then installs the preheated application unit with white EVA glue and the exchangeable container filled with EVA granulate into the EDGETEQ S-380.
Now the production “white with white” can start.

03:34 In the case of "non-single-variety" change, e.g. glue-type change without color change, the application unit can be easily emptied in the machine.
