Episode 17 (Hill Forest Garden-Mosumbu): Organic weed repressor method - GROW CASSAVA

Cassava is one of the first plant that we grow in our hill forest garden since we got free cuttings from our mother's garden.
The first batch that we grow did produced roots but most of the bigger roots were eaten by other four-legged residents in our hill forest garden.
Then we planted the cuttings again in a new plot.
What we learn from our observation of plots in the hill forest garden where cassava grows , we don't need to spend much time with weeding.
This is because when the cassava has grown so tall, it naturally will repressed weeds from sprouting.
Lack of light that can get through the close canopies of the cassava plants prevent weeds from happy.
Growing cassava is cost effective and reduce labor time.
Sustainable friendly method and avoid soil degradation.
