Takedown - Principles of the Russian Tie

Описание к видео Takedown - Principles of the Russian Tie

From Issue 8 of Jiu-Jitsu Magazine.

• Your opponent's target arm will be across your torso
• Your inside hand is cupping his bicep, holding it tight against your chest
• Place your shoulder in and against his shoulder to maintain pressure as if you're trying to dislocate that shoulder. You don't want your shoulder on his arm, it has to be against his shoulder.
• Bend at the waist, bringing him down with you to break his posture, and place your forehead on his temple.
• One of the most important points is to keep his wrist glued to your body. If you allow any bend in the elbow, it will allow him to curl his arm away from your body to escape.
• Stretch your shoulders back to help keep the pressure on his arms.
• Your legs should be wide apart and in the final position, your opponent's feet should be between yours.
