Описание к видео Marking the 70th Anniversary of the ANZUS Treaty

On 1 September 1951, Australia, the United States and New Zealand came together to sign the historic ANZUS Treaty. Undertaken to ensure peace and safety in the Pacific region, the Treaty requires signatories to consult in relation to any perceived threats to involved nations and to act to meet common dangers. Today, the Treaty remains the foundation of Australia's security relationship with the United States, and continues the tradition of mateship shared by our two nations for more than a century.
