Meeting with the Filipino Community in Singapore (Speech) 12/16/2016

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte spoke before the Filipino community in Singapore on the last day of his state visit. A crowd estimate of 5,000 attendees filled the Max Pavilion and Hall 9 of the Singapore Expo.

In his speech, the President reaffirmed his campaign promise to the Filipino people by stressing, “I promised you three things when I ran for office. I promised you to end the proliferation of illegal drugs, corruption, and criminality.”

About 180,000 Filipino workers are currently working in Singapore in the fields of information technology, telecommunications, among others.
