Dvořák: Humoresque - Violin｜Eimi Wakui

”Humoresques” is a collection of eight pieces for piano composed by Dvořák (1841-1904). This performance is an arrangement for violin of the most famous seventh piece in the collection. The contrast between the light and friendly melody of the opening section and the melancholy melody of the middle section is wonderful, and the violin expresses it beautifully and sadly. According to one theory, the opening part is said to represent the sound of a moving train wheel. Please enjoy this nostalgia-inducing masterpiece!
