As I said in my original playthrough of this game, this game is incredible and I still love playing it. While I was pretty rusty in my playthrough here, it was still a lot of fun to replay it on the new difficulty mode and experience all the levels again. I've played it casually every so often on the lower difficulties, just whenever I feel like relaxing a little as it's a lot more forgiving. Although most of that just involves me playing through Gehanna and Sheol a couple of times to play along with the songs.

Regarding the new difficulty, it's noticeable for the most part. Enemies are stronger and it's less forgiving, and there's more difficult enemies in most encounters. There's the new big flying demon (I can't remember the name of) which mixes things up quite a bit, and overall the difficulty is definitely a step up from beast mode. That being said, if you're using Ghost Rounds and spamming nothing but the Crossbow, it's by far the most efficient way to deal with everything. You can just weapon swap, fire 8 rounds, swap back and repeat that entirely. I tried not to do that too much for the most part, but as I was rusty I used it a fair bit. Especially on the final level.

The hardest part by far is the final boss, which is a nightmare. Took me a few attempts to get that down, most of which was the boss instant wiping me as soon as the fight starts. The rest of it isn't too bad, but the initial part is a nightmare. The only other issue I had was the Nihil boss bug, which was horrible. The final phase transition the boss just doesn't spawn back in, it took me 6 different attempts before it actually worked. That's the only bug I've ever had with this game though. As I also said before: All in all, I'd rate this as one of my personal favourite games of all time. Remnant: From the Ashes still tops that list (which I'm considering making a little tribute video on sometime in the near future to get more people onto it before Remnant 2), but this is somewhere up there with all the FromSoft games and Doom Eternal for me personally.

There's a free demo of the game on all platforms. If it's something you want to try, and if it even looks remotely interesting to you, I'd highly recommend at least giving it a go.
