I don't usually talk about jingles but I really like them in the series and hope they stay forever. Jimmy's one in this game is really good in particular. His story has nothing to comment on lol

This is the worst stage in the game. First impression was bad so it ended up being one of the last ones I felt like returning to, yes mainly due to the boss stage. Coming back, I found there's a whole lot more wrong with it. I'll try not to be too negative.

Chow Down is... really fucked. I have to imagine a lot of people tanked a life on this on their first playthrough or just lucked out on it. Turns out, the game really does want you to move your jaw as if you were eating, so your hands do indeed have to be touching your face. The description kinda alludes to it, but only kinda, and I think you wanna be very deliberate about introducing such a strange control scheme because now it comes off as really, really unintuitive and messy. And, mind you, that's only what makes it the least fucked, it still doesn't feel great to play. No idea how this was even approved.

Sink the Shot is bad. I mean, on its own it's likely the hardest thing in the stage, but the idea that it gives you far less time to line up your shot if you happened to check the right spot last kinda sucks, especially with how tight the shot actually is. Couldn't be bothered to edit together a clip I had saved where I landed a near perfect shot and it... just teleported to the right. Like, it looks uncanny every time and I'm pretty sure there's no hidden mechanic (at least, there better not be). So as far as I'm concerned, this one is straight up buggy so I always dreaded getting it. Clearing it every time on this run is genuinely absurd, would not happen again if I played again.

Other annoyances include Escape Artist being super sensitive. I had already put it down when it started so it must have been super sensitive to have received anything. Service with a Smile sucks because the initial spawn can reduce your chance of getting a late shot and you can indeed lose by having the ball just barely not land on their court even if your shot was good. Sound Decision feels really janky, like it didn't respond very well in this run which is odd because I don't usually have issues with it. On Spirit Sense, you lose if you catch the puff of fog from it reappearing, which is bullshit, you lose for being too fast as if it wasn't in the process of appearing.

Griddlebot is certainly a thing. I've heard so many people despise it for all sorts of reasons, it seems like the most universally hated thing in the game by a long distance and I can see why. I will admit, I don't think the controls are TOO terrible, but stuff like putting down the food I think is just late by design for some reason? Did play up early in this run though. It's also pretty uneventful, where a lot of it is waiting for things to happen. That can be immersive in its own way but that combined with the boss stage being over 2 minutes in length (!!!) make repeated runs of the stage a fucking chore to sit through, which made deaths at around 40-60 way more tilting than usual. I feel like the consensus has shown that boss stages just should not be that long, especially not if it's gonna be mostly waiting around. I feel like the raw game loop is honestly fine, feels like it could work as some survival bonus game or something, but not as a boss stage. Really kills the pace of a stage I didn't like anyway.

Main takeaway for me is that Jimmy is not very good at making games. I find his stages are often among the weakest in the games and his boss stages usually follow that rule too. So next WarioWare, let's see if we can end that trend and finally give Jimmy a banger of a stage! :D

But uhhh yeah I'll work on Remixes and Volcano next. The latter I kinda wanna go for a very high score to specifically reach max speed, since it's not even that fast by the time you hit 100 by my count.
