ABOUT THIS SERIES:

For centuries the nodes of the Moon 'Rahu' and 'Ketu' have baffled Vedic astrologers in terms of the results they give in their 'mahadasha' and 'antardasha'.

In fact, when it comes to analyzing their influence in a person's life from the perspective of transits, it becomes even more tricky as there doesn't really seem to be a consensus on how to look at and understand at their impact.

I have spent a lot of years reading, writing and researching on the topic of the 'nodes' and have been lucky to have received a lot of love and recognition for the same. In this series, I seek to share this knowledge with my viewers along with a very unique perspective that will not only help you understand the energy of the nodes but also how to channel that energy to fulfill your life purpose.

With each episode, we shall be studying the impact of the North node and South node of the Moon via placements in the natal chart, 'Navamsha' (D-9), 'Dashamasha'(D-10), 'Shashtiamsha' (D-60) and transits. I will expand into the other divisional charts as well but let's hope and aim to fulfill the primary objectives first.

ABOUT KETU IN FIFTH HOUSE in birth chart

Whenever you have the South node of the Moon 'Ketu' in the fifth house of the birth chart, that shows us that one of the primary strengths of your soul in this lifetime is creativity and expression. This placement is the placement of an individual who are naturally inclined towards applying their innovative ideas towards the betterment of their life and power.

Holding the limelight, center stage and position or responsibility of power and authority comes naturally to such individuals and is something these individuals naturally gravitate towards. It is not surprising therefore that a lot of performers, film stars and celebrities have this South node placement in their chart.

Some people say that if you have ‘Ketu’ in the 5th house it will take you away from your children or cause some form of separation or problems with respect to them however that is not entirely true.

Even so, it is possible that an over indulgence in matters of the 5th house may cause ‘Ketu’ to create problems that push the individual to move in the direction of their ‘Rahu’ in the eleventh. Problems related to progeny may be one of them.

The trick to understanding and working with the energy of the South node ‘Ketu’ in the fifth house, is learning how to balance your natural expression with your ability to bring people together, build relationships, form connections and multiply your sources of income and public dealings.
