Panjshir Afghanistan, this is part one of 2, this was just the road trip there, it got a little more interesting the second day! Thanks to The Sultan for taking me here, it was off limits last year when i visited, but this year they gave permits. just a few hours drive from kabul, although the journey was interesting with all the stops we made. I didnt know anyone that had been here to ask anything about it, the mausoleum wasnt open this day or they wouldnt allow me to visit, not quite sure which one it was . As always its the people that make a place, we spent 2 days here and it was one of my more adventurous trips! Every second vehicle was a Taliban vehicle, never seen this in any other province.
