Kalyana Rama - Hamsanada - Adi - Oothukaadu Venkatakavi

Rama Seetha Kalyanam (The wedding of Rama and Seetha) is one of the most celebrated high points in our Puranas. Every poet has excelled in describing this story of Seetha and Rama meeting and getting married in the swayamvara arranged by Janaka Maharaja. 

It looks like The great Poet Composer and Bhaktha Oothukadu Sri Venkatakavi who constantly celebrates Krishna wanted to celebrate this divine marriage.

In his Hamsanada composition “Kalyana Rama”, he almost jumps in joy with the choice or Raga, Music and Poetry. Starting off as KalyanaRama he links back the name of the Goddess by saying.. Seetha Kalyana Rama.

Describing the beauty of the Lord and the garlands he is wearing, the composer brings before our eyes, the chanting by the exalted gathering of Rishis and their joy in witnessing this celestial marriage.
