"White Dew" is a part of a phrase from one of the earliest recorded poems from the Classic of Poetry, or sometimes also called Book of Songs, dating as far back as the 11th Century BC. A popular song among the Chinese for its simplistic and sentimental themes that still apply to this day. The poem depicts an almost dreamlike imagery, recounting the events of an unspecified character's approach to a lake surrounded by greenery glittering with dew. In the midst, our character finds his/her love across the water, alas without any easy means to draw closer.
The ambiguous nature of the song leave us without knowing who our character is, man or woman, or if what was seen was even real. Some even suggest that the vision is an illusion derived from our character's mental state and the reflections of the water, as throughout various sections of the song it was mentioned several attempts to struggle against the currents only to find "it" somewhere else.
