Before we start, note that the Sidekick claw can be installed on any saddlebag with a rigid back. Your saddlebag may already be prepared for this, or you might need to make some modifications. All Longride saddlebags in the SK range, like the Racer SK we use in this video, are ready for installation.

Not only is this a cost-effective choice, but it also empowers you with full customization control. Position the claw precisely to dictate your saddlebag's placement on your bike. Want more passenger space? Shift it back. Need to avoid heat from the exhaust? Adjust it lower, higher, or even angle it to complement the lines of your bike and maintain a safe distance from the exhaust. This level of customization ensures that your saddlebag not only functions perfectly but also enhances the aesthetic appeal of your motorcycle.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide:

Locate the Perfect Spot: Use the claw's key lock as your guide to mark the first hole on your saddlebag. Attach the claw to the holder, align your saddlebag, and visualize the ideal placement. Once you’ve found the perfect spot, mark it on the bag. Measure the distance from this mark to the key lock's center, prepping your bag for the first drill.

Drilling and Fitting: After drilling the initial hole for the key lock, align the claw with this hole on your saddlebag. Mark the positions for the remaining three smaller holes, then drill these to complete the setup.

Securing the Claw: Attach the claw to your saddlebag using the fixings provided in your kit. This ensures a secure and sturdy fit, ready for any road adventure.

Locking into Position: Discover clips in your kit designed to attach to your saddlebag holders. These clips prevent the saddlebag from sliding on the holder tubes. Slide your bag to the desired position, and then use these clips to securely lock it in place, ensuring your bag stays exactly where you want it during your rides.
