Cancer: Hope Made In India

Many of us can recall receiving an invitation to a fundraiser for someone seeking medical treatment abroad. Such cases are especially common for cancer patients who go to great lengths to seek medical care in foreign countries. India, for instance, is proving a popular destination for such patients with more than 200 patients travelling out of the country each month. But why are Kenyans travelling thousands of miles to seek treatment that, ordinarily, should be available back at home? Evelyn Wambui has just returned from India where she sought answers to some of these troubling questions. Here's part one of the series 'India's medical option.
