After the end of the 1971 "Loaded" European Tour, the band went home except Doug Yule and their manager Steve Sesnick who stayed in London to record some tracks in a small recording studio. What they recorded is still debated to this day. Where these recording sessions for a Doug Yule solo album or a fifth Velvet Underground release? Yule along with Ian Paice recorded over a dozen songs for a future release with Sesnick overseeing the production and recordings.

The backlash over the promise of studio time that was made to the rest of the band by Steve Sesnick during the tour, like a carrot being dangled in front of a donkey effectively ended this line-up of the group as they were tired of his manipulating behavior towards them while singling out Doug Yule as the only member worthy of recording new material. Listen as Cuppy documents the behind-the-scenes shenanigans of the London Recordings.
