Tauranga to Bay of Islands and Northland Voyage

During December 2018, January & February 2019 I sailed with crew alternating between my partner, and my best friend and his son from Tauranga all the way up along New Zeland's east coast to Mangonui and back. The return trip from Bay of Islands to Tauranga I completed single handed in just four days. Underway going north we stopped at Slipper Island, Mercury Bay, Great Mercury Island, Great Barrier Island, Tutukaka, Poor Nights Islands, Whangaruru Harbour, Whangamumu Harbour, Bay of Islands, Whangaroa Harbour and finally got to the far north at Mangonui in Doubtless Bay. The voyage was completed in my 34 ft Farr 1020. Very classic and epic coastal New Zealand sailing venture in some of the most stunning locations.
