TOLUCA LAKE

Is there a lake in Toluca Lake?! That was the impetus behind this week's ride to the San Fernando Valley neighborhood. To get there, we take Benedict Canyon up the hills of Beverly Hills, then along the drive of Mulholland Drive, down the canyon of Coldwater Canyon, and then wind our way find the lake of Toluca Lake. From the satellite images, it looks like it exists, but in reality, it is surrounded by big mansions and a country club. This neighborhood has always been a celebrity hotspot, from Amelia Earhart to Frank Sinatra, and we even stop by the Bob Hope estate, complete with a pool, tennis courts, some golf course, and a whole lotta hedges. But do we find the lake of Toluca Lake? Well, that's part of the fun of exploration.
