Grand Teton: Owen Spalding Route Climb

Описание к видео Grand Teton: Owen Spalding Route Climb

We decided to climb this route unprotected on the way up and then rappel on the way down. We brought trad gear in case we felt that we needed to place protection on the more technical sections near the summit, but felt fine to not use it once we got there. Approach shoes would work fine for this climb. I only wore climbing shoes because I had a weak ankle from twisting it on Granite Peak a few days earlier and I wanted to wear hiking boots as long as possible and then switch shoes. The approach shoes I had with me were giving me bad blisters so I just took my hiking boots and climbing shoes with me for this. You could decrease the amount you took up there by just wearing a good pair of approach shoes.
