Couldn't Cast Without Catching Fish! | Mackerel Fishing Nova Scotia 2023

Fishing for mackerel from an aluminum boat in Nova Scotia, Canada. On this fishing trip, we ventured to the Saint Margaret's Bay Area and caught hundreds of mackerel! We couldn't keep our lines in the water without catching fish. For gear, we used Sabiki Rigs with 1.4oz weighted hooks. Unfortunately, most of the fish were far too small to keep. However, we kept enough for a few meals. During this trip, we even witnessed a pod of dolphins swim by and caught a hake and a large sculpin. Notably, this year mackerel need to be 10.55 inches and you are allowed to retain 20 fish.
