Using the WeMacro vertical stand for mosaic macrophotography

This is Bill's second video introducing macrophotography with the WeMacro Rail.

In the last video (   • First steps into macrophotography wit...  ), Bill demonstrated the WeMacro Rail on its own. But the astrophotographers' creed is that we always want more, so in this video, he brings in the WeMacro vertical stand.

Not only does this give a different angle on the subject, but it also has a graduated adjustable stage. This can move the subject and allow you to get mosaic images. You need to do this if you are so close to the subject that you can't get it all in the shot.

In this video, Bill uses ambient light (no flash) to take a mosaic image of a silver Australian 50 cent coin from 1966. The lens used was a stock 18-55mm f/3.5 mounted in reverse on a Canon 8D.

Afterwards, he compares the image with one taken with a conventional macro lens, a Tokina 70-220 f/3.5 with Pentax M42 screw mount.
