How to One Arm Handstand in 5 Steps

Описание к видео How to One Arm Handstand in 5 Steps

One Arm Handstands are not easy and especially learning to One Arm Handstand is a pretty big mission but with correct focus and the right technical cues it is more than possible.

1. Fix your handstand. Make sure your elbows are locked, you push out tall and that you can change between positions without losing control.
2. Look at the hand you are standing on. You need this for control and balance
3. Bring your supporting shoulder on top of the hand. This will be the first time you are standing on the “outside” muscles of your shoulder. This is not easy! Go slow and give your muscles time to grow.
4. Side Bend to bring the opposite hip on top of the already aligned hand and shoulder. For me personally this was the hardest part to master. Make sure you do not rotate! Isolate the side bend between the last rib and the hip bones only.
5. Push out tall one more time focusing the push in the supporting shoulder.
6. Take the hand out towards the side without lifting the free shoulder.

Honestly, this should keep you busy for the next 2 years or so. Check out my website for detailed instructions on progressions and technical approaches.
Happy journey!
