Blue Skies by Irving Berlin is a well known jazz standard. In my Blue Skies guitar tutorial I'll be showing you how to play the jazz guitar chords and weave the melody in between. We call this a Blue Skies guitar instrumental or chord melody arrangement.

This is an advanced Blue Skies guitar chord melody arrangment, it's rather fast and tricky. But I'll show everything slowly and there is a complete playthrough at the end of this Blues Skies Irving Berlin guitar lesson.

There is also the Blue Skies backing track available from the link above. One is at regular fast tempo, the other at slow tempo, so you can start practicing right away.

Go slowly with this tune! Learn each of these beautiful Blue Skies jazz guitar chords one by one, just one or two bars a day, and you'll eventually get there. Then start speeding things up. Blue Skies sounds nice at a medium tempo too. You don't have to play it as fast as I did ;-)
