Transcendence is a three part composition from the album, Divine Enlightenment.

Divine Enlightenment is a spiritual journey of meditative music and themes exploring mystical thought. The music draws stylistic influence from a diverse array of composers like Steve Reich, Beck, Phillip Glass, Moby, Trent Reznor, John Cage, Lou Harrison, Leo Brouwer, Henryk Gorecki, Cosmo Sheldrake, and Arvo Part.

Each piece has verse that explores related mystical contemplations. The verses have themes that draw influence from Judeo-Christianity, Gnostic mysticism, Greek Philosophy, and Buddhism.

The songs are all original compositions by Rod Skelley. They feature classical guitar with layered instrumentation including strings, piano, keyboard and percussion.

Rod Skelley is a composer based in Central Pennsylvania. His unique creations are in the genres of New Age, Crossover Classical, Industrial Electronic as well as songs written for the Indie Rock Band, Infused. Many of Rod's compositions feature music for nylon strung classical guitar reimagined in a more modern style.
