Trains at Sheffield - 31/05/2022

Filmed on 31/05/2022. The third and final trainspotting session of the day once again brings us back to the city of true grit and Steel. Yes, this is the Steel City of Sheffield. (Season 9 Episode 17)

Rather than get straight down to trainspotting, we decided to get the updated automated announcements at Sheffield first. For an evening trainspotting session at Sheffield, it does show as ever just on how busy Sheffield really can be.

Since with the rules lifted, face coverings are no longer required on public transport and no social distancing needed which means that all train operators can really make use of of all their space on their trains.

A thing of the past now as East Midlands Railways daily services between London ST Pancras through to Leeds no longer operates only running as far as Sheffield now onwards. But, their 4 carriage Meridians are now becoming 5 carriage units. Also, they are now planning to go into their refurbishment to have brand new interiors fitted.
