Train Cab Ride NL / Back to Maastricht / Amsterdam - Utrecht - Maastricht / VIRM IC / July 2023

Hi everyone! Welcome on board a new long ride on my channel. This time we drive the route back to Maastricht. The video was recorded on the 13th of July (sorry for the misspelling at the start of the video). We have a long ride ahead of us. With a total of 218km of tracks to be driven on. Enjoy the ride!

0:00 Amsterdam Centraal
On many requests the route Amsterdam - Maastricht. We depart perfectly on time from Amsterdam. Enjoy the sunrise!

3:44 Dijksgracht
For those not familiar with the plans for the Dijksgracht I added the overview again. :) In the future more train traffic at higher speeds are allowed in this area.

First stop on the route. With a privacy cut of a few seconds.

The first of four province borders we cross in this video. Also you will see we won't be driving on full speed. We are on time and the line to Utrecht is pretty bumpy. This way we create a little more comfort for the passengers.

Arriving at Utrecht Centraal. All signals green so we can enter the station with 80km/h if we like. Make sure to smile at the camera at our stopover here.

On de departure from Utrecht Centraal we depart at the same time as the intercity towards Nijmegen. A grant departure from a modern station.

Taking it easy with the speed. There's planed Sprinter running ahead of us. Our planned speed on this piece of the journey is set to 110km/h.

Many bridges to pass on our way to the south.

Passing this station a minute early because we've been driving on full speed instead of the planned speed between the last two bridges.

Still a speed limit in place here because of the soft ground and unstable track.

With the line from Dordrecht joining in and the line towards Tiel splitting up.

At this location the connection to the Betuweroute (mostly freight) can be made.

Arriving at Eindhoven main station. We'll arrive a few seconds early. Could've been coasting a little longer in this case.

On the right side a line from Belgium joining in. Followed by Spoorbrug Weert and a bit later the station. We depart a minute late. Let's race towards Roermond!

Arrival at Sittard. After a short stop we continue towards our final destination. After departure you can see the line towards Heerlen splitting up on the left.

On the right side the line towards Stein Haven is splitting up.

On the left side the line from Heerlen in joining in. Then our approach towards Maastricht with two line joining in from the right. Both coming from industrial locations.
