"The Golden Voice" is a new graphic novel by author Gregory Cahill that reveals the true story of famous Cambodian singer Ros Serey Sothea who was one of the biggest rock stars during Cambodia’s golden age of music in the 1960s.

But when the Khmer Rouge regime rose to power in Cambodia in the 1970s, she disappeared. Despite her fame, very little is known about Sothea’s life.

From the oral history given by Ros Serey Sothea's sister and others who knew her when she was alive, Cahill has pieced together the incredible story of the beloved singer in a graphic novel just published through Humanoids.
