A Calif. Zephyr in Ft. Morgan on 23SEPT2024

This morning's California Zephyr #5 arrived in Fort Morgan at 0545 MDT (departed at 0548 MDT 2 min. tardy). P42s #201 & #78 brought the 8-car consist to a stop with car 7 to the station platform for passenger service to 4 new patrons. There were no detraining passengers.
With the station work safely completed, the high ball was given and on a clear signal at west Ft. Morgan CP the Zephyr resumed its westward trek with the next station being Union Station in Denver.
I was joined by viewer Rick from Illinois. Always a treat to have company here on the platform for the Zephyr.
The gentleman and is group are headed to northern California for a 60rh class reunion. It was nice to have a chat with him.
