This video takes us back into the early years of 1980s as Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who was on a rise as aftermath to Nirankari Kand and agitation in Punjab against the complicity of local and central governments with Nirankaris to save them. Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale who did not like Akali Dal primarily because of actions of Parkash Singh Badal as CM in having a soft approach towards Nirankaris post 1978. However ahead of Dharam Yudh Morcha launched by Akalis and Bhindranwale together, Sant Bhindrawale forged association with Akalis over common causes as part of Anandpur Sahib resolution and also because of his Taksal militants being targetted by Darbara Singh government. As a reaction to the events as were folding Sant Bhindranwale and Akalis were seen together in Dharam Yudh Morcha under the aegeis of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal and Akali Dal who did not want Bhindranwale to overwhelm the agitation. This led to considerable differences post July 1983 and both the sides sparred publicly towards late 1983 as the understanding fizzled away paving way to a highly volatile situation with poor vision of Akalis and a rebelious Bhindranwale out there to confront Indian state and its might which later culminated later into Operation Blue Star.
