This 10km route takes you through beautiful Berowra Valley National Park located only approximately one hour north of Sydney CBD (City Centre). The route we took connects two train stations along the Sydney rail network. Start at Berowra station and finish at Mount Kuring-gai station. The hiking trail will take you past Naa Badu lookout with a bit a of a detour before heading down the steep hill to Sam's Creek. Naa Badu means 'see water' in the Darug language. The people of the Darug nation are the traditional owners and caretakers of the lands in this area.

Along the way, we saw many birds including sulphur-crested cockatoos, Wattle birds, Wrens, Lorikeets, and even a male Lyrebird with its beautiful tail feathers. We also saw five lace monitors (Goannas) and a few Australian brush turkeys. During spring, many wildflowers bring beautiful colours to the entire walk. The hiking trail is not an easy one for beginner hikers. Good, sturdy shoes are required and be prepared to climb over big rocks from time to time.

Enjoy the footage!
