Everyone's A Rower On National Come Try Rowing Day!

This time, Adventure Awaits on our local Gorge Waterway! The National Come Try Rowing Day 2023 was Rowing Canada's way of getting brand new people out rowing on rowing shells, the Oar Board®, and Whitehall Rowing & Sail boats. 

The inaugural event was hosted In Victoria, British Columbia by the Gorge Narrows Rowing Club, organized by Rachel Davis, club manager and head coach! Olympic rower Anna-Marie de Zwager coached new rowers on the beginner's basics to rowing. 

Olympic Gold Medal Rower Adam Kreek was also at the event sharing copies of his book The Responsibility Ethic: 12 Winning Strategies to Power Lasting Success and Happiness, which is also available in paperback, Kindle Edition, and audio book from Amazon! Event attendees got to experience the thrill of getting out on the water in a racing shell, on the Oar Board® Stand Up Paddle Board Rower Combos, and in a Whitehall Spirit® boat!

This fun, local community event was enjoyed by all ages, and some furry friends! At Whitehall Rowing & Sail and Oar Board® we're making it our mission to help people discover the joys and health benefits of Rowing - a full body workout that's great exercise for body, mind and soul.
