'About Damn Time' - Lizzo | James Croxton

Hi guys! I'm back again with another one of my session portfolio videos where I aim to authentically recreate recorded performances by artists who inspire me or give my take on their music. In this video I'm playing 'About Damn Time' by the sensational Lizzo.

I really enjoy Lizzo's music, she always brings the bangers with tight drum groves, monstrous bass lines and sparse but effective guitar parts that really serve the song. I find playing parts like these authentically and in the pocket help my feel and sense of rhythm which are crucial aspects to being a great guitarist.

This was recorded straight into GarageBand and shot with my SONY ZV1. All the guitar playing was done in one take.
