This sprightly performed piece by The Happy Six is from the third annual Broadway musical revue, “George White’s Scandals.” Music for the show (which also included the better-known “Drifting Along with the Tide”) was composed by George Gershwin, with lyrics by Arthur Jackson.

The Happy Six was a band organized by Harry Yerkes (of Yerkes’ S. S. Flotilla Orchestra fame), which made many recordings for Columbia in the early 1920s.

The autographed movie star photos were collected by my mother and her sisters in the 1920s by writing to the stars.
