[De-Neglect] What are Foodborne Trematode Infections?

Описание к видео [De-Neglect] What are Foodborne Trematode Infections?

More than 40 million people worldwide are affected by foodborne trematode infections, a disease caused by flatworms found in contaminated water and raw meat. This neglected tropical disease (NTD) is preventable and treatable, but in order to beat it we must first know how to recognize it.

For the 3rd annual World NTD Day on January 30, 2022, De-Neglect brings to light one of many NTDs, by raising awareness about its infectious cycle and treatments, and empowers you to impart change locally by presenting research-based information and a call to action.
