TEDxXavierSchool - Deondre Martin Ng - Game designer/developer ... and high school student

When Apple first released iOS, and Google showcased Android, the mobile gaming rush caught Deondre (Dodie) Ng's eye -- he was then in primary school. In Dodie's very interactive talk at TEDxXavierSchool, he shares how this spark inspired and ignited in him a passion to learn and create games; with the help of friends both known and unknown to him. In a pay-it-forward fashion, Dodie today uses his skills to contribute not only to his local community, but to the larger Internet population as well.

Deondre Martin Ng, or Dodie to his friends, is a 3rd year high school student at Xavier School, under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. A consistent honor student, Dodie is Co-Founder and the President of Artificial, the school's Robotics Club, Vice-President of Club NExT, a club focused on design and technology, and the Graphic Design Editor of Stallion, Xavier High School's official student publication. Dodie also shares a passion for theatre and has performed on stage, and a heart for teaching as the Computer Department (Academic) Chairperson of the Para Kay Kiko summer teaching program. When he's not too busy, he engages in personal projects such as the creation of motion graphics and game design and development across various devices.
