Have you ever been uncertain about what information to put on your resume, or what format to use for your CV? Have you ever made the mistake of putting the same information on your cover letter? Resumes, CVs, and cover letters are critical parts of career mobility, engaging with scholarly and academic communities, and professional development, but the skill of drafting these documents is rarely taught. In this presentation we will be outlining the difference between a resume and a CV and how a cover letter complements each, as well as some of the unwritten rules, best practices, and common mistakes for drafting these materials. We encourage you to have your resume and/or CV on hand to review with us as we go along.
