Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 James Murphy Licks From 1990. I've had requests to feature some music from this legendary metal guitarist and I'm glad to finally add some of his inspiring ideas to the channel - so let's dive in!

James has worked/performed with a number of legendary metal bands - such as Death, Testament, and Obituary, to name a few, not to mention recording with Steve Morse, Explorers Club, Dååth, and countless other session appearances as well.

The ideas in this lesson were pulled from an Obituary concert in L.A. from 1990 and the video captured James shredding through a fiery and intense set. The ideas shared here include a melodic legato phrase, a position-shifting scale idea, a wicked tapping lick, a shred-approved scale sequence run, and more!
